Bobby Green responds to Buddy Pimblett’s call: “He doesn’t want to…”

Bobby Green responded to Paddy Pimblett’s call for UFC 300 and it seems the Englishman doesn’t like his response.

Bobby Green was incredulous when first asked about Pimblett, who named him as a potential opponent if he beat ex-interim champion Tony Ferguson at UFC 296.

“Did he really say that?” » Green asked at UFC Austin media day to support his fight against Jalin Turner. “Someone sent me this, but you know with Instagram, you’re like, ‘Man, did they make that up, did they just put the words in?’ “I don’t know who’s telling the truth, but I say to myself, brother, there’s no chance. »

Green and Pimblett will share a common history when Pimblett faces Ferguson next month. Green fought Ferguson in July at UFC 291 and handed him his sixth straight loss, surprising fans by submitting the longtime veteran.

Bobby Green doesn’t believe it
Paddy Pimblett, who is on a four-game winning streak, sits between Ferguson and the UFC losing streak, while Green is currently on a two-game winning streak. Green doubts Pimblett is serious and wants to play his UFC momentum on him.

“Paddy knows it’s a bad fight for him,” Green continues. “He doesn’t want it. He just talks. Until he started walking and got rid of Tony and we talked about it. We’ll talk after that. But Paddy doesn’t want that. It would be a bad fight for him.”

When asked about Ferguson’s ability to achieve victory, Green was optimistic about his former opponent, who trained with former Navy SEAL David Goggins.

“I feel like Tony is going to start pulling something out around the third round, around the second and third rounds,” Green said. “He has good pace, he comes really hard, he can take good shots. If Paddy doesn’t take him to the ground, if he doesn’t try to do jiu-jitsu, I think Tony will get him. Tony also hits very well. »

Bobby Green faces Jalin Turner this weekend in a very undecided lightweight fight after having a tangle with Arman Tsarukyan during fight week.
