Cédric Doumbè lost by TKO (medical stoppage) against Baysangur Chamsoudinov. A splinter stuck in the toe of “The Best”, which led the referee to stop the fight after the Franco-Cameroonian complained.
Baki wins his 8th career victory and proves that he is one of the biggest prospects in French MMA.
It was one of the most anticipated fights in France. Cédric Doumbè, former glory of Glory (kickboxing), faced Baysangur Chamsoudinov, who crushed the competition in the organization of Fernand Lopez (ARES). This exceptional event organized by the PFL took place within the AccorArena in Bercy.
This fight, which promised to be exceptional, ended in the worst possible way, in an unpredictable scenario. In the 3rd round, a splinter went into Cédric Doumbè’s toe. The latter wanted a temporary stoppage of the fight, but the referee refused and chose to stop the Franco-Cameroonian.
Cédric Doumbè loses to Baki
Baki had an XXL first round. The Franco-Chechen brought his opponent to the ground four times (takedowns) and totally dominated his opponent.
With his back to the wall, the ex-kickboxer comes back well in the second round. After 2 minutes 30 of striking largely in favor of Doumbè, Baki returned to the clinch to stop the bleeding. The end of the round is for The Best, who threw some very powerful punches. Fortunately for Chamsoudinov, the most devastating events were avoided.
At the heart of the decisive third round, Doumbè complained to Marc Goddard about a problem with his foot. The referee tells him that he must continue fighting.

A rematch could emerge between the two fighters, but the PFL will have to offer a new contract to Chamsoudinov, who had only signed for one confrontation in the organization.
