Arman Tsarukyan: Beneil Dariush fight ‘makes sense,’ but Michael Chandler would be first choice

After taking a huge step back in terms of divisional standings, Arman Tsarukyan has set his sights on two of the best names in lightweights after his recent performance in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 75. He won in the third round by TKO.

In the co-main event of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 75 event, Tsarukyan picked up a third-round TKO win over Joaquim Silva, which served as his second straight win and improved his overall record to 20-3.

Following his victory, the 26-year-old had two names on his mind that he would like to fight, including Beneil Dariush, who recently was stopped by former champ Charles Oliveira at UFC 289.

Round 1: Tsarukyan wastes no time and validates a takedown on Joaquim Silva very early on. He takes over his opponent on the ground and puts pressure on him. The Armenian manages to grab Silva’s back and tries to find the opening for a finish, but without success. ‘Ahalkalakets’ finishes very strong by touching Joaquim Silva standing.

Round 2: The Armenian comes back very aggressive in the second round. He tries to put volume in striking and touch Joaquim Silva. But against on a left, he is heavily hit and staggers. Wobbling and with feverish support, the Armenian fights and validates the takedown on the Brazilian.

Round 3: ‘Ahalkalakets’ takes Joaquim Silva to the ground again, and takes over. The two athletes get up but the Armenian insists and still validates a takedown. On the back, Silva suffers the violent ground & pound of Arman Tsarukyan. In the mounted position, ‘Ahalkalakets’ goes wild and sends everything he has. Faced with the situation, the referee is forced to stop the fight.
