Iran’s Amir Aliakbari predicts Anatoly Malykhin will beat Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane in the main event of ONE 169: Malykhin vs Reug Reug this week.
ONE three-division MMA world champion Malykhin will defend his heavyweight title against Senegal’s “Reug Reug” in a highly anticipated clash.
Meanwhile, Aliakbari faces Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida in a heavyweight MMA contest where a victory may grant the Iranian a title shot against the main event’s winner.
The 36-year-old Iranian believes the Russian titleholder has an advantage over his Senegalese counterpart.
“I don’t care who wins, but I think Malykhin will win. It doesn’t mater who wins, I’m his next opponent,” Aliakbari said.
Malykhin has won all six of his bouts in ONE Championship, maintaining his 100% finish rate, and raising his clean MMA record to 14-0.
His challenger, elite wrestler “Reug Reug”, picked up an impressive unanimous decision win against “Buchecha” that improves his ONE record to 6-1 and earned him a title shot.
Meanwhile, Aliakbari has won four consecutive bouts, two of which came at the expense of former ONE Heavyweight MMA world champions following a tough start in ONE Championship.
