Algeria’s Elias Mahmoudi in Pivotal Clash Against Denis Puric, Inches Closer to World Title Challenge

Elias Mahmoudi is set to face Denis Puric in a pivotal Flyweight Muay Thai contest at ONE Championship’s event ONE Fight Night 26.

Mahmoudi has recently picked up two impressive, back-to-back wins finishing both Edgar Tabares and third-ranked flyweight Taiki Naito.

Nicknamed “The Sniper, the 26-year-old Algerian owns a distinctive and aggressive, attacking style, boasts an impressive 34-7 overall record, and has held titles with the WBC, WMF, WPMF, and MTGP.

Having proven his credentials at ONE Championship since 2019, Mahmoudi may be inching closer to challenging Thai megastar and longtime champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon for the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai world title.

Meanwhile, Denis Puric most recently put in an exciting performance in a unanimous decision defeat against Rodtang but has already beaten several established stars since making his promotional debut in 2022.

The 39-year-old Bosnian Canadian veteran, who boasts a 41-14 overall record, had recently defeated title challenger Jacob Smith after beating Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat via second-round knockout.

Mahmoudi faces Puric at ONE ONE Fight Night 26, which kicks off at 3:00 AM on Saturday, December 7 and will be broadcast live via beIN SPORTS.
