Algeria’s Brice Delval Suffers Loss at ONE Friday Fights 109

Algeria’s Brice Delval endured a disappointing defeat in his first ONE Championship matchup in five years at ONE Friday Fights 109.

Delval suffered a defeat at the hands of Thailand’s Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri in the thrilling bantamweight Muay Thai main event.

The 25-year-old Algerian dominated the first round, chasing Yod-IQ down and landing big right punches that nullified his Thai opponent’s offense.

In the second round, Yod-IQ improved his performance in the second round, forcing Delval on the backfoot with slicing elbows and short hooks that caused the Algeria’s eye to swell shut.

As the third round kicked off, Yod-IQ and Delval knew they needed to dominate the final round to pick up a win – and both unleashed big strikes. In the end, Yod-IQ picked up an impressive unanimous decision victory and scored his seventh consecutive win to raise his overall professional record to 124-36.

Meanwhile, Delval, who is a former world title challenger, suffered his third loss in ONE Championship, and now sees his overall professional record drop to 33-10.
