Alexis Nicolas will defend his ONE Lightweight Kickboxing world title for the first time against the man he dethroned.
Nicolas beat longtime champion Regian Eersel via unanimous decision at ONE Fight Night 21 earlier in April.
After an impressive performance over five rounds, the 26-year-old – who has Algerian roots – picked up his second win in two promotional fights and extended his undefeated professional record to 24-0.
The loss was Eersel’s first in ONE after the 31-year-old had picked up 10 consecutive wins, also becoming the ONE Lightweight Muay Thai world champion along the way.
Now Eersel has the chance to regain his kickboxing title from Nicolas while the latter is eager to defend his title and spotless professional record.
Nicolas and Eersel clash in a must-see rematch at ONE Fight Night 25 which kicks off at 3:00 AM Mecca on Saturday, October 5.
