Alex Pereira has expressed interest in trying boxing, and here’s what UFC President Dana White thinks about it.
This Saturday, UFC 307 will feature Alex Pereira headlining the event. “Poatan” will face Khalil Rountree in his third light heavyweight title defense. Like Pereira, Khalil Rountree is a true force of nature.
Even though Pereira is the favorite, he is taking this fight very seriously and called upon Sean Strickland to help him prepare.

Before making a name for himself in MMA, Alex Pereira had already conquered everything in kickboxing. Now, “Poatan” wants to venture into a highly lucrative sport—boxing—just as Francis Ngannou did.
Dana White’s Firm Stance
When Francis Ngannou entered boxing, he was no longer under UFC contract. That’s not the case for Alex Pereira, who is still competing under the organization. However, the Brazilian has expressed his desire to capitalize on Dana White’s entry into the boxing world to make his debut.
When asked about this in an interview with Kevin Iole, UFC President Dana White shared his thoughts:
“I don’t know, I don’t even think about this kind of stuff. I hate cross-combat. I respect Alex’s desire to do it, but I want everyone to stay home.”
Dana White, who recently denied Francis Ngannou’s claims, has never been a fan of MMA/boxing crossover fights. One thing is clear: while Dana White is entering the boxing world, he hasn’t yet considered Alex Pereira in that equation.
