Akram Hamidi Suffers Disappointing Loss at ONE Friday Fights 81

Algeria’s Akram Hamidi suffered a disappointing knockout defeat at ONE Championship event ONE Friday Fights 81.

The Algerian struggled against the more experienced decorated Thai star Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, falling to a knockout defeat less than 90 seconds into their strawweight Muay Thai contest.

Hamidi could not match Sam-A’s attacks as the legendary fighter dropped the Algerian twice before securing the KO victory at 1:22 of the opening round.

With this defeat, the 25-year-old’s record at ONE drops to 2-2while his overall professional record now stands at 50-6. Hamidi picked up two wins against Kongchai Chanaidonmueang and Jomhod but had lost against two-sport world champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai.

Meanwhile, Sam-A improved his incredible overall record to 374-49.
