Abdulla Dayakaev Continues His Ascent, Faces Veteran Saemapetch at ONE Fight Night 31
Rising Russian fighter Abdulla Dayakaev is preparing for an important battle against Thai veteran Saemapetch Fairtex during ONE Fight Night 31: Kongthoranee vs. Nong-O II.
Dayakaev will face Saemapetch in a bantamweight Muay Thai bout early Saturday morning on May 3rd, during the highly anticipated event taking place at the Lumpinee Stadium in the Thai capital of Bangkok.
The 23-year-old young Russian fighter currently trains among an elite group of fighters and is representing the team of Algerian star Mehdi Zatout, who himself has previously competed at a high level within the world’s largest martial arts organization, ONE Championship.
Since joining ONE, Dayakaev has fought seven bouts, winning six—four by knockout and two by majority decision—while suffering only one loss. He is now determined to prove that he belongs among the best fighters in his division.
His sole defeat came against Thailand’s Yod-IQ PK Saenchai by unanimous decision after three rounds of fighting under Muay Thai rules in October 2024.
Overall, Dayakaev holds a professional record of 13-2, with a 6-1 record in ONE Championship and a finish rate of nearly 70%, confirming that the young rising star continues to perform at the peak of his abilities.
On the other hand, his opponent, 30-year-old Thai fighter Saemapetch Fairtex, is a seasoned veteran who has faced many elite fighters in ONE Championship and will not hesitate to try to topple the Russian prospect in the upcoming event.
Saemapetch boasts an extensive professional record of 127-22, with a 9-7 record in ONE Championship. He is determined to prove that he still belongs among the sport’s top fighters.
ONE Fight Night 31 kicks off at 4:00 AM Mecca on Saturday, May 3 and will be broadcast live via beIN SPORTS and watch.onefc.com.
