The UAE capital is gearing up for another major global sporting event as Abu Dhabi Showdown Week returns from October 20 to 26, headlined by UFC 321, featuring heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall against France’s Ciryl Gane.

This year’s edition marks a historic moment for combat sports in the region, with the first-ever women’s title fight in Middle Eastern history — Virna Jandiroba will face Mackenzie Dern for the strawweight belt.

A week full of fan-focused events

The “Showdown Week” offers a variety of free activities and experiences for MMA fans, including:

  • Open workouts at Yas Mall on October 22, allowing fans to see UFC stars in action.

  • Official press conference at Etihad Arena on October 23, featuring athlete Q&A sessions.

  • Official weigh-ins on October 24, the final face-offs before fight night.

Throughout the week, fan zones at Yas Mall and Yas Bay will host interactive experiences and meet-and-greets with fighters like Kamaru Usman, Tatiana Suarez, Carlos Ulberg, and Moroccan featherweight Youssef Zalal.
