Elmehdi El Jamari Seeks Revenge and Title Shot at ONE Fight Night 32

This Saturday, June 7, Morocco’s Elmehdi El Jamari will face Thai-Malaysian striker Aliff Sor Dechapan at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. The strawweight Muay Thai bout at ONE Fight Night 32 could decide who gets the next shot at the world title.

For El Jamari, it’s personal. Aliff knocked out his older brother, Zakaria El Jamari, last November. Now, Elmehdi wants payback—and a path to the championship.

“I can’t wait to fight,” El Jamari said. “This is about vengeance and proving myself.”

A win could earn him a title shot against Thai veteran and reigning champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai. El Jamari believes the champion’s era is ending. “Prajanchai is aging. It’s time for a new generation,” he said.

El Jamari boasts a 27-1 record and multiple Muay Thai titles across Morocco, the Arab world, and Africa. He’s also a WBC Muay Thai world champion.

But Aliff is a tough challenge. The 21-year-old has a 60-9 record, a three-fight win streak, and a seven-centimeter height advantage. El Jamari has studied his opponent’s long-range style and plans to close the distance to neutralize his power.

“Aliff is smart and skilled from range, but weak up close,” El Jamari explained. “Our game plan will surprise people.”

Confident in his strategy, El Jamari predicts a knockout win before the third round.

“I’m hungrier than ever,” he said. “It’s time to take over this division.”

ONE Fight Night 32 airs live on beIN SPORTS at 4:00 a.m. Mecca time on June 7.
