Liam Harrison Praises Jonathan Haggerty and Nico Carrillo

Muay Thai star Liam Harrison praised British duo ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty and featherweight Muay Thai star Nico Carrillo.

Englishman Haggerty most recently defended his belt against Chinese veteran Wei Rui last February. Scotland’s Carrillo, meanwhile, moved to featherweight after a disappointing loss to newly crowned ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nabil Anane, capturing an impressive second round knockout victory against Thai veteran Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong.

A veteran who owns a 90-26 overall professional record, Harrison knows that his hope to see Haggerty and Carrillo clash seems like a remote possibility with the two men fighting in different weight classes.

Still, the 39-year-old British fighter was full of praise for both Haggerty and Carrillo, and expects them both to shine even more in ONE Championship.

“[Carrillo] looked like an animal against Sitthichai, so I’m looking forward to seeing how he does there. Jon’s bantamweight through and through. So I think the ship has sailed now,” Harrison said.

“I think they can both do great things in their divisions,” he added.
