Potential ONE Flyweight World Title Challenger Nakrob Focusing Only on Jaosuayai Clash at ONE Fight Night 32
Nakrob Fairtex is not thinking about a potential world title shot and is fully focusing on his exciting upcoming clash against fellow rising star Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi.
Nakrob and Jaosuayai will face each other in a pivotal flyweight Muay Thai contest at ONE Fight Night 32 in the morning hours of Saturday, June 7 inside Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium.
Nakrob is ranked fifth among contenders to the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai world title which was vacated by RodtangJitmuangnon after the latter missed weight ahead of defending his gold.
The 26-year-old Thai star knows that the flyweight Muay Thai division is one of the most star-studded in the martial arts organization, and that he will need to churn out some top performances to earn a world title shot.
“There are a lot of great fighters in this division, including a lot of rising stars coming up, and especially Nong-O. I saw his last fight with Kongthoranee, and I was amazed that he’s 38 but can still fight like that. That’s incredible. He’s definitely a very dangerous fighter in this division,” Nakrob said.
Instead of dreaming of fighting for the world title belt, Nakrob is channeling his energy into his preparations for his upcoming matchup with a difficult opponent.
“I just want to focus on getting through this fight first. Right now, I haven’t even thought about the next one yet,” Nakrobsaid.
ONE Fight Night 32 kicks off at 4:00 AM Mecca on Saturday, June 7 and will be broadcast via beIN SPORTS and watch.onefc.com.
