Brice Delval Analyzes Yod-IQ Ahead of ONE Friday Fights 109 Clash
Algeria’s Brice Delval discussed his next ONE Championship opponent Yod-IQ Pimolsri’s attributes ahead of their clash at ONE Friday Fights 109.
Delval and Yod-IQ are set to face each other in a bantamweight Muay Thai contest inside Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, May 23.
A former S1 and current interim Lumpinee Muay Thai champion, Delval is quick to show his respect for his Thai opponent.
Five years after his last ONE bout, the 25-year-old Algerian knows he can go back to the top with a win over a reputable rising star, who owns a 123-36 overall professional record and an 8-1 ONE Friday Fights record.
“He’s a very solid opponent, but I’m aiming for the top—and it’s through fighters like him that you get there,” Delval said.
Ahead of the main event against the Thai fighter, the Algerian is scouting and watching Yod-IQ closely, hoping to find gaps that he can take advantage of on Friday afternoon.
“His biggest strength is his rear-leg middle kicks. But I don’t think he handles punches very well,” Delval said.
ONE Friday Fights 109 kicks off at 3:30 PM Mecca on Friday 23 May and will be broadcast live via beIN SPORTS and watch.onefc.com.
