Kais Mohammed Loses to Hikaru Furumura via Knockout at ONE Friday Fights 107
Kais Mohammed suffered a first round knockout loss at the hands of Hikaru Furumura on his ONE Championship debut at ONE Friday Fights 107.
In the opening moments of the catchweight Muay Thai contest, Mohammed tried to dictate the pace, with a stiff left hook to the midsection followed by a straight right.
However, the Japanese athlete countered with a straight left that earned him a knockdown. As the Algerian fighter tried to get back to his feet, Furumura pounced on the vulnerable Mohammed, landing a barrage of punches to score a knockout at 1:33 of the first round.
With this defeat, Mohammed’s overall professional record drops to 28-21 while Furumura’s overall professional record rose to 11-6.
