ONE Two-Division World Champion Anatoly Malykhin Hungry to Fight
MMA megastar Anatoly Malykhin says he is as hungry as ever to fight and could face any ONE Championship star when he is eventually back as the Russian enjoys a break away from mixed martial arts.
Malykhin, who holds both the ONE Light Heavyweight and Middleweight MMA world titles, lost his status as a three-division world champion in his most recent bout, suffering his first ever loss of his spectacular MMA career and dropping the ONE Heavyweight MMA world title belt to Oumar Kane.
Months after loss, which came via split decision and after a closely contested matchup at ONE 169 last November, Malykhin is already making the necessary changes to his training routine and diet.
And while ONE’s matchmakers may decide to give him a rematch with Kane or schedule a bout in which he puts one of his two world titles on the line, the 37-year-old Russian is hungry as ever to fight and raring to go.
“I’ve never turned down a fight. If I’m healthy and not injured, I’m in. I’ve always been hungry to fight. There’s no ‘perfect’ date for me. I’m ready whenever ONE needs me,” Malykhin said.
