Giancarlo Bodoni vs Rafael Lovato Jr in Submission Grappling at ONE 173: Denver
Two of the world’s most established American BJJ stars are set to collide at ONE Championship’s upcoming show in the United States, ONE 173: Denver.
BJJ legend Rafael Lovato Jr and and two-time ADCC world champion Giancarlo Bodoni will entertain their home crowd in an exciting middleweight submission grappling bout.
Lovato, who became just the third American to win the IBJJF world championship as a black belt in the gi back in 2007, most recently claimed gold at the 2024 IBJJF No-Gi European and Pan-American Championships with a near-perfect submission rate.
While the 41-year-old veteran wants to prove that he remains at the pinnacle of the sport, Bodoni will be a tough opponent.
The 29-year-old has established himself as one of the sport’s premier talents by capturing ADCC World Titles in 2022 and 2024.
