Roberto Soldic Happy with First ONE Championship Win at ONE 171: Qatar

Roberto Soldic spoke of his delight after capturing his first at ONE Championship at ONE 171: Qatar.

Soldic dropped Turkish star Dagi Arslanaliev via knockout at 1:55 of the first round in their welterweight MMA contest inside the Lusail Sports Arena.

After his debut ended in a no-contest and his second bout saw him knocked out, the 30-year-old Croatian star appeared ecstatic to finally record his first promotional win.

“It feels good. I feel amazing. It is what I do always. This is my job, you know, and I’m not surprised because I know what I can do,” Soldic said.

“I’ll keep going. Sometimes you have in life ups and downs, but now, everything is alright,” he added.  Soldic, who made his return after a 20-month break after last competing in May 2023, expressed his relief at returning to the ring.

“Sometimes it’s good to take some breaks from the fights. I missed competing now. Twenty months is enough time. I did my job. I performed. It’s nothing new for me,” Soldic said.
