Morocco’s Youssef Assouik highlighted the weaknesses of his first opponent at ONE Championship Sinsamut Klinmee ahead of their clash at ONE Fight Night 25 in October.
Assouik faces former two-time ONE Lightweight Muay Thai world title challenger Sinsamut at the event that kicks off at 3:00 AM Mecca on Saturday, 5 October.
And while the 29-year-old fighter believes he enters Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium as the underdog as the underdog, he suggests he will be targeting the main weaknesses he has identified in his Thai counterpart’s game.
“He puts a lot of energy in the beginning, but it drops quickly. He is weak in the stomach. I never go after things, as weaknesses. I keep my style, push forward, and if it comes, it comes,” Assouik said.
The Moroccan-Danish athlete, who is the current WMC Middleweight champion and a former ISKA titleholder, expects a tough, action-packed bout against the Thai competitor.
“It’s going to be a hard fight from round to round. He’s going to kick and I’m going to throw kicks as well. He is going to punch and I’m going to punch him as well. It won’t be a slow fight. It’ll be an impressive fight and will have a lot of action,” Assouik said.
Assouik and Sinsamut face each other at ONE Fight Night 25 which kicks off at 3:00 AM Mecca on Saturday, 5 October and broadcasts live via beIN SPORTS.
