In a thrilling encounter, Chris Duncan secured an unconventional victory in the lightweight bout at UFC Paris, facing his opponent Bolaji Oki in a fight that ended in a shocking manner. After Oki attempted a takedown, Duncan locked in a guillotine choke and pulled him to the ground. Despite Oki’s efforts to escape the hold, it seemed like he had succeeded until Duncan released the choke and began throwing punches from his back.
But then, Duncan realized Oki was actually unconscious.Without hesitation, Duncan alerted referee Loic Pora, who immediately stopped the fight, awarding Duncan a technical submission victory at 3:44 of the first round.
With this win, Duncan improved his UFC record to 3-1 and gave a shoutout to his American Top Team teammate, Dustin Poirier, saying: “Don’t be a fool, jump on the guillotine!”
