Morocco’s Imad Salhi will make his debut at ONE Championship’s weekly series ONE Friday Fights this Friday.
Just a few days ago, Salhi put pen to paper on a deal with the martial arts organization, announcing the move on his Instagram as “the highest point” of his career.
The Moroccan will compete against Arashi Sakamoto in a Catchweight (54.88 Kg) Muay Thai contest at ONE Friday Fights 77 on Friday 30 August.
Salhi, who hails from El Aïoun, Oujda, enters his first test at ONE Championship’s weekly fight series with an impressive 13-1 overall record.
With eight of his wins coming via knockout, fans can expect the Moroccan to step up and search for a highlight-reel finish to announce himself on the global stage.
In an Instagram post, Salhi revealed that he has been training more than seven hours a day, six days a week, for two months ahead of his anticipated debut.
ONE Friday Fights 77 kicks off at 3:30 PM Mecca this Friday, August 30, and will be broadcast live via beIN SPORTS in the MENA region.
