“El Cucuy”’s Imminent Retirement:
With this win, Chiesa secured a significant victory, while Tony Ferguson appears to be facing the end of his career. Ferguson now holds the record for the most consecutive losses in UFC history, with eight straight defeats. In an announcement via Daniel Cormier’s microphone, Ferguson hinted at retirement but has not made a final decision.
“I don’t want to retire. I really don’t want to. But I love the UFC and I don’t want to go anywhere else. So, I’m not going to give up both gloves; I’ll keep one on, and I’ll hold on to the other just in case.”
