Morocco’s Zakaria El Jamari described his most recent win in ONE Championship against Thai star Thongpoon PK Saenchai as “a big event” in his career.
El Jamari is preparing to face rising Thai star Aliff Sor Dechapan in the morning hours of this Saturday, August 3 at ONE Fight Night 24.
The 34-year-old Moroccan athlete hopes to pick up his second consecutive win after defeating Thongpoon via unanimous decision in May.
About his impressive win against Thongpoon, El Jamari said: “The win over Thongpoon is a big event in my career since he is a huge Muay Thai star in Thailand”.
“The fight was very difficult. I led in the first round but the second round was close. He was ahead in the third round, but I managed to tip the scale in my favor and won what was a difficult contest,” he added.
El Jamari faces Aliff in a Catchweight (58 Kg) Muay Thai contest at ONE Fight Night 24 which kicks off at 3:00 AM Mecca and is broadcast live via beIN SPORTS.
