Video: Takaya Suzuki records an amazing flight and downs “Yoichi Miyagi” in 4 seconds

Japanese flyweight, Takaya Suzuki, impressed everyone this Saturday during Shooto 2024 Vol.1. He only needed 4 seconds to KO his opponent with a vicious jumping knee strike.

At Shooto, they seem to have found their Jorge Masvidal. Aged only 19, Takaya Suzuki has already had 6 fights. The Japanese started his career with a defeat against Kaito Yoshimura. Since then, the young fighter has learned a lot and has never suffered defeat, stringing together a series of 5 victories. His last success dates back to this Saturday, January 27, at Shooto 2024 Vol.1, against Yuichi Miyagi.

KO in 4 seconds

When the bell rang to signal the start, Miyagi walked up to Takaya Suzuki to touch his gloves. Bad luck for him, as Suzuki seized the opportunity to knock him out with a flying knee strike, as vicious as it was devastating. The fight only lasted 4 seconds.

When the video went viral, fans were quick to voice their opinions. Some compared Suzuki’s jumping knee to Jorge Masvidal’s knockout of Ben Askren. It must be admitted that not everyone can achieve such a feat. Lury Silva had his Masvidal-style knee strike countered by Xiko Loko. A few fans criticized the fighter for his lack of sportsmanship.
