Popular UFC bantamweight champion Omar Nurmagomedov has smoked out all of his pro-MMA competitors so far.
The Dagestani currently holds an unbeaten record of 16-0 in his career, which also includes four wins over UFC rivals.
According to the recent update of social media site “X” that Chechen fighter Umar Nurmagomedov is very frustrated about some issue ??.
So Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin asked UFC CEO Dana White to put him out of his misery.
Recalling, it has been nearly three years since Omar made his UFC debut. However, his resume shows that he has only been to the octagon four times so far. Omar fought his last fight against Raoni Barcelos on January 14, 2023, almost a year ago. His update revealed that this was the exact reason for his frustration. Omar was tired of hearing the UFC authorities talk about how no one in his division wanted to fight him. Hence, he asked the UFC president to look into the matter and take matters into his own hands.
The 27-year-old fighter’s post also showed that he has already planned the day he wants to fight. Aside from making his claim to Whyte, Nurmagomedov also tried to find an opponent himself. The imperfect English in his update was enough to reveal what he wanted. I read:
Hey @danawhite Even me tired to hear
«No one want to fight with Umar»make someone fight with me
And massage for bantamweight
17 February if you not busy
And want to fight
Let know @ufc— Umar Nurmagomedov (@UNmgdv) December 22, 2023
Aside from Nurmagomedov, many UFC fans are also talking a lot about February 2024 currently. Well, a look at the UFC’s event schedule will reveal that the promotion has planned to host UFC 298 on February 18, 2024. However, it is the main event between Alexander Volkanovski and Ilya Topuria that is attracting the most attention. Hence, it is quite clear that the Dagestani wants to get himself a booking on one of the biggest nights in the UFC.
Will the Alexander Volkanovski vs. Ilya Topuria title include Omar Nurmagomedov?
Well, 2023 is already almost over. However, Nurmagomedov’s complaints indicate that he is not in a very favorable position. The UFC community also doesn’t talk much about Khabib’s cousin. Hence, putting his fight on a PPV card may not be very beneficial for Dana White and Co.’s business. Aside from all this, his words meant that no one in his squad was willing to accept fighting against him.
A combination of all these factors points to the fact that it will be very difficult for Nurmagomedov to get himself booked for a fight at UFC 298. But now that he has highlighted the truth to the head of the UFC, he may expect something to happen. If it’s not a UFC PPV, Nurmagomedov would probably be happy to fight on a UFC Fight Night card as well.
