Raul Rosas Jr. was left with his first professional defeat in April at UFC 287 against Christian Rodriguez, before this weekend’s UFC Noche (all results here), and many were wondering how he would react . Well, it didn’t take long to realize that Raul wasn’t there to make up the numbers.
Indeed, he defeated his opponent of the day, Terrence Mitchell, in 54 seconds, with a superb TKO which therefore earned him the victory. And just after raising his arms, Raul Rosas Jr. wanted to react and said how he sees himself in the UFC (via MMAJunkie):
” I am different. I have the potential to become a superstar and break all records. I’m just being myself, and I’m happy to be the way I am. I know I have the potential to become one of the biggest superstars in the company.”
Then Rosas spoke about his fight:
“My grappling and timing were perfect. If the fight went to the ground, I knew I was going to get the submission. We worked a lot. I worked on grappling a lot. I was lucky enough to be able to show everything. I have evolved since my last fight.

I showed my improvements this evening. »
Raul Rosas Jr. is only 18 years old and wants to become the youngest champion the UFC has ever known. To do this, he will have to do better than Jon Jones, who, in 2011, won his first belt at the age of 23. Rosas therefore still has time, but he will have to face experienced fighters before touching the holy grail. In any case, this weekend he took it one step further.
