Back in Boston for the first time in nearly four years, UFC 292 lit up TD Garden on Saturday night, with a dozen action-packed fights hitting the Octagon and thrilling the capacity crowd
In the main event of UFC 292, Aljamain Sterling defended his bantamweight title against Sean O’Malley. The ‘Suga Show’ won by TKO in the 2nd round.
Round 1: The two athletes take their time and take advantage of the first minutes to gauge each other. Sterling sends some good low kicks as Sean O’Malley takes the center of the Octagon to try and frame the champion.
At the end of the recovery, the ‘Funk Master’ tries a takedown but just manages to block the challenger against the fence. He takes the opportunity to put a few blows in passing.
Round 2: Thanks to a powerful back arm, Sean O’Malley dries champion Aljamain Sterling. He finishes the work on the ground and wins by TKO! What a victory for the ‘Suga Show’!
After this victory by TKO, Sean O’Malley (17-1) said he wanted to make his first title defense against Marlon Vera next December. As a reminder, the Ecuadorian is currently the only athlete to have inflicted a defeat on the ‘Suga Show’.
