Algeria’s Mohamed Younes Rabah Beats Eddie Abasolo at ONE 169

Mohamed Younes Rabah picked up an impressive unanimous decision win against Eddie Abasolo at ONE 169: Malykhin vs Reug Reug.

Rabah dominated the first round of the Featherweight Muay Thai contest, throwing a punching combination and a flying knee early on.

Abasolo controlled the distance well and kept the pressure high, but Rabah again landed a vicious punching combination and a kick to the body.

In a pivotal moment during the opening frame, Rabah dropped Abasolo with a left hand, scoring his first knockdown. As the American wobbled, Rabah continued to press forward showcasing his dynamic striking, using his towering height to dominate with punches, kicks, and elbows.

In the second round, the two men traded strikes. With a few seconds left on the clock, Rabah hit a powerful clean left shot, knocking Abasolo down for the second time in the bout.

Desperately looking to salvage a victory, Abasolo picked up the pace in the third round. Still, Rabah used his imposing frame to stay in control, throwing a vicious spinning back elbow and using the clinch to stop his opponent’s attacks.

However, with ten seconds to go in the third and final round, Abasolo kept the pressure on, finding a way to knock down the Algerian who was saved by the bell.

With another impressive performance and a huge win at featherweight, the 27-year-old raised his overall professional record to 15-1.
