His achievements speak for themselves and he is recognized as an elite competitor and is a well-known name.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 26-year-old has achieved so much in his career already and has broken new ground in the grappling world. At\u00a0ONE on Prime Video 2\u00a0in October, he became ONE Championship\u2019s first-ever submission grappling world champion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Musumeci is also the first American to become an IBJJF world champion five times. It cannot be understated how much he has accomplished at such a young age; it will inspire athletes for years to come.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Away from competition, Mikey Musumeci has also become well known for his personality. As a totally unassuming elite martial artist, he trains for over half the day and lives off of a diet of pizza and pasta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">His nickname \u2018Darth Rigatoni\u2019 perfectly encapsulates his personality, but ahead of his next contest at\u00a0ONE Fight Night 10\u00a0on May 5, Musumeci has had a change of heart. A new style of pasta has won him over.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jiujitsutimes.com\/breaking-mikey-musumeci-promises-beautiful-title-defense-against-atos-champ-osamah-almarwai-at-one-us-debut\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">interview with the Jiu-Jitsu Times<\/a>, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI think I\u2019m going to be Darth Bucatini this time!
