{"id":6675,"date":"2026-02-11T18:54:42","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T17:54:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mmamag.ma\/en\/?p=6675"},"modified":"2026-02-11T20:19:27","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T19:19:27","slug":"sjjif-launches-the-first-brazilian-jiu-jitsu-world-cup-for-national-teams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mmamag.ma\/en\/sjjif-launches-the-first-brazilian-jiu-jitsu-world-cup-for-national-teams\/","title":{"rendered":"Official Invitation to Participate in the 1st SJJIF Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3388\" data-end=\"3709\">On behalf of the <strong data-start=\"3405\" data-end=\"3457\">Sport Jiu-Jitsu International Federation \u2013 SJJIF<\/strong>, it is our honor and pleasure to announce the <strong data-start=\"3504\" data-end=\"3567\">launch of the inaugural SJJIF Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Cup<\/strong>, and we invite your federation to participate in this historic event, marking a new chapter in international Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3711\" data-end=\"3988\">This event provides elite athletes with the opportunity to <strong data-start=\"3770\" data-end=\"3858\">represent their countries as part of officially recognized national federation teams<\/strong>, reinforcing the values of unity, structure, and international cooperation that define Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under SJJIF standards.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3990\" data-end=\"4015\">About the Competition<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4017\" data-end=\"4199\">The SJJIF World Cup is a <strong data-start=\"4042\" data-end=\"4077\">national team\u2013based competition<\/strong>, designed to elevate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu globally and strengthen the role of national federations in athlete development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4201\" data-end=\"4433\">Each team will consist of <strong data-start=\"4227\" data-end=\"4256\">elite Black Belt athletes<\/strong>, officially selected or approved by their national federation under SJJIF.<br data-start=\"4331\" data-end=\"4334\" \/>Teams may include <strong data-start=\"4352\" data-end=\"4374\">4 or 8 competitors<\/strong>, depending on participation in <strong data-start=\"4406\" data-end=\"4412\">Gi<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"4414\" data-end=\"4423\">No-Gi<\/strong>, or both.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4435\" data-end=\"4477\"><strong data-start=\"4435\" data-end=\"4477\">Minimum team composition (4 athletes):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4478\" data-end=\"4575\">\n<li data-start=\"4478\" data-end=\"4500\">\n<p data-start=\"4480\" data-end=\"4500\">Male \u2013 under 76 kg<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4501\" data-end=\"4524\">\n<p data-start=\"4503\" data-end=\"4524\">Male \u2013 over 76.1 kg<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4525\" data-end=\"4549\">\n<p data-start=\"4527\" data-end=\"4549\">Female \u2013 under 68 kg<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4550\" data-end=\"4575\">\n<p data-start=\"4552\" data-end=\"4575\">Female \u2013 over 68.1 kg<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4577\" data-end=\"4717\">Federations may register <strong data-start=\"4602\" data-end=\"4616\">8 athletes<\/strong> to cover both Gi and No-Gi divisions, as well as reserve athletes according to official regulations.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4719\" data-end=\"4741\">Purpose and Vision<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4743\" data-end=\"4773\">The SJJIF World Cup aims to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4774\" data-end=\"5046\">\n<li data-start=\"4774\" data-end=\"4823\">\n<p data-start=\"4776\" data-end=\"4823\">Promote <strong data-start=\"4784\" data-end=\"4821\">national pride and representation<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4824\" data-end=\"4898\">\n<p data-start=\"4826\" data-end=\"4898\">Strengthen federations\u2019 role in <strong data-start=\"4858\" data-end=\"4896\">athlete development and leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4899\" data-end=\"4967\">\n<p data-start=\"4901\" data-end=\"4967\">Provide a <strong data-start=\"4911\" data-end=\"4965\">fair, elite, and structured international platform<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4968\" data-end=\"5046\">\n<p data-start=\"4970\" data-end=\"5046\">Unite nations through <strong data-start=\"4992\" data-end=\"5044\">values of respect, excellence, and sportsmanship<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"5048\" data-end=\"5209\">This event is not just a competition;
