With relentless pressure and grappling, Muhammad secured a unanimous decision victory (see fight highlights).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Bilal Muhammad&#8217;s Response to Shavkat Rakhmonov<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the post-fight press conference at UFC 304, Muhammad addressed the possibility of defending his title against Shavkat Rakhmonov, the unbeaten number 3 contender. I\u2019ve never shied away from a fight. I\u2019ve never backed down from anyone. A lot of people have refused to fight me, and now I\u2019m at the top. I\u2019m the man for the job, and for me, it\u2019s about solidifying my legacy as the greatest middleweight ever,\u201d Muhammad stated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He continued, \u201cI\u2019m not going to sit here and call out random guys. I\u2019m not going to sit here and say who\u2019s next in line, who\u2019s the best in the division. I\u2019ll show you who I am and what I can do. They thought Leon could get past me, and now I\u2019ll beat all those other guys.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Shavkat Rakhmonov remains undefeated with 18 victories, notably defeating Stephen Thompson, Geoff Neal, and Neil Magny.
