And Jon Jones could have headlined the April 13 event&#8230; Except that &#8216;Bones&#8217; refused the UFC&#8217;s proposal, and explained himself on the microphone of the media Submission Radio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this interview, the former UFC light heavyweight champion details the reasons for his refusal: \u201cI received a call from Hunter Campbell, one of the chief lawyers of the UFC. He asked me, \u201cJon, it\u2019s only 9 weeks\u2026 But is there any chance you\u2019re ready?\u201d This would be great news for the community. You are returning to headline one of the biggest events of all time.\u201d Honored by this offer, I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ll be ready, so no. At my age, I don&#8217;t have many big events ahead of me. And I want to give everything in these meetings. But it looks like Jones will return this year. Also in this interview, he again assured that he would fight Stipe Miocic as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jon Jones is slowly coming back from his major injury last fall, which prevented him from defending his heavyweight title against Miocic.
