Famously, Tom Aspinall only stepped in on short notice, following the cancelation of Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic. During the co-main event of UFC 295, the British fighter inflicted a first-round knockout on Sergei Pavlovich. The fight between the two men was organized on short notice after the pectoral injury of the defending champion, Jon Jones. So he could fight Stipe Miocic while waiting for \u2018Bones\u2019 to return. However, if the UFC cannot keep him active, Aspinall has one idea in mind: the Briton wants to box. He spoke in an interview with Fight Disciples.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tom Aspinall in English boxing?<br \/>\n\u201cLet\u2019s do it.\u201d I want to be active in MMA, I&#8217;m healthy. Absolutely, I will, if I can get through the UFC, I will (go to boxing, editor\u2019s note). That\u2019s why I think it\u2019s a good idea, I really like it. If the UFC allows me to do it, I will do it. I want to be active. I had a year off with my knee injury. I came back, if I may say so, and I looked pretty good in the two fights I&#8217;ve had since. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He continued: \u201cI\u2019m in a really good place right now, let\u2019s keep moving forward. I don&#8217;t want to wait for Jon Jones. Who knows if he will come back or not? I will fight another contender, or we will do one of them. It is an excellent idea. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tom Aspinall is the former training partner of WBC world champion, Tyson Fury. Although he has a huge size, the Briton manages to be mobile and fast. On top of that, he has fire in his fists.
