The fact that Kickboxing made the shortlist should be applauded and we congratulate WAKO on a valiant effort.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Squash a racket sport many would consider mainstream, a sport with a 150 history finally gets a place in the Summer Olympics after 40 years of trying.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kickboxing may have a long road ahead but if it ever gets selected it will raise the profile of the sport for all involved.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) President Roy Baker said he believes the sport is &#8220;destined&#8221; to appear at the Olympic Games after missing out on a place at Los Angeles 2028.
