In a recent interview with TNT Sports, the Chechnya-born, naturalized Swedish Allstars talent revealed his plans to defeat &#8216;Borrachinha&#8217; notably he wants to beat Costa hard enough for the Brazilian to collapse in the Octagon and cry all the tears from her body. BLF  is coming to erase you \ud83e\udde2\ud83e\uddc1 gourmet Chen Chen <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RIn8k2Dgem\">pic.twitter.com\/RIn8k2Dgem<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Paulo Costa ( Borrachinha ) (@BorrachinhaMMA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BorrachinhaMMA\/status\/1683574675710828544?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 24, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Costa, 32, detailed the origin of his beef with Chimaev in a lengthy and wide-ranging interview on Wednesday\u2019s edition of\u00a0<em>The MMA Hour.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said the bad blood began in 2022 ahead of Chimaev\u2019s scheduled fight against\u00a0Nate Diaz\u00a0at\u00a0UFC 279, when Costa was working with Diaz\u2019s longtime teammate\u00a0Jake Shields\u00a0at the UFC Performance Institute and Chimaev was watching nearby.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Costa said he eventually approached Chimaev and asked why Chimaev was eyeballing him, to which Chimaev responded that he wanted to know why Costa had been talking trash. Costa, meanwhile, is one of the most popular athletes at 185 pounds and is coming off a thrilling victory over former UFC champion\u00a0Luke Rockhold\u00a0this past August at\u00a0UFC 278.<\/p>\n<p id=\"j5yTlR\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">So considering the uncertain situation at 185 pounds, with\u00a0Dricus Du Plessis\u00a0and\u00a0Sean Strickland\u00a0both vying to be the next title challenger for\u00a0Israel Adesanya, Costa is confident he\u2019ll be able to cut the line if he defeats Chimaev as impressively as he expects.<\/p>\n<p id=\"d14pAO\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI think due to all this situation in the middleweight division and due to all this hype about this fight against me, against Chimaev, the next in line is going to be the winner,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The trash-talk begins to intensify between Khamzat Chimaev and Paulo Costa, the two men no longer let go.
